Integrated Rural Development Project in South Yemen – Wadi Hajr – Hadhramout Governorate

The purpose of this project is to provide integrated rural development of the southern region of Yemen and to prepare a feasibility study that encompasses all the components of development namely, agricultural development, social and economic development, establishment of irrigated areas, development of water resources through the construction of 8 small dams and development of agricultural tracks.

– Feasibility study of 12 dams including hydrological study, geological and geotechnical study, preliminary sizing and design of 8 dams.

– Preliminary hydrogeological study of the Mukalla aquifers

– The study for the creation of agricultural roads in the different settlements (9 settlements in the project area) as well as access roads to the different dams and irrigated areas.
